Happy Christmas 2009!

We flew over to NZ to spend Christmas with our friends Dave & Lisa, and their 2 boys, Steve and Pete, in Paraparaumou on the Kapati Coast of North Island.

It was great to spend time with them, as usual (we spent the previous Christmas with them too!) and here we all are enjoying a lovely Christmas lunch!

Touchdown - December 2009

Wow, after all that sorting and packing (and not to mention sad goodbyes) - with a lot of help from our family and friends - we finally left the UK on 9th and arrived in Sydney on Friday 11th December, phew!

Hello Darling Harbour - Edwin's co. put us up in an apartment for a month, whilst we sorted out our own accomodation - what a spot to get acclimatised to Sydney! 

Christmas in full swing and the children had a ball seeing all the various performers and events around Darling Harbour.

We had just a couple of days the following week to look at rentals and choose a place before the schools closed for the long Christmas/Summer holidays - as the Principle needed to sign the paperwork for the kids to start on the first day of the new school term/year.

In the end we chose a great house with a view - on Sydney's North shore, overlooking pristine bush and the lovely waters of Middle Harbour/Sugarloaf Bay
